What are these Power Rankings?
by Grandstand Bob
Instead of giving us
their opinion on who is "supposedly" the driver on the move each week why
doesn't NASCAR worry about the important things like when are we going to
get some more short tracks?
I'll admit last weeks
race at Las Vegas was pretty good but how many more of these sister track
races are we going to have to endure before we get to see another Bristol,
Wilksboro or Martinsville.
Now the talk is
surrounding taking a race date taken from Rockingham. Who's going to
get it? Another mile-and-a-half track strikingly similar to Vegas or
Chicago?
Remember back as short
a time as two or three years ago when everyone from France on down to the
commentators were all saying NASCAR was for the fans? Do you hear that
anymore? I'm not hearing it. If they truly believe NASCAR is for
the fans why don't they put out the word we need another short track.
Put it in a major
market area and stack the seating to the sky. It will sell out every
year. Those of us watching at home will be treated to beatin' and
bangin', rubbin', bump and runs, pure edge of the seat excitement all while
NASCAR rakes in the bucks.
Do you care who NASCAR
says is leading the Power Rankings? I don't. I want to see some
RACING!
